How you can get involved

BRITA's product and service portfolio is divided into three Strategic Business Segments (SBS), which are based at headquarters: Consumer, Professional Filter and Dispenser. Each SBS is headed by a strategic marketing manager and a strategic sales manager. Both functions and their teams work hand-in-hand. As a peer department, Brand Experience and Strategy develops, manages and supports the BRITA brand in all three SBSs and empowers the local organizations in a matrix structure combining BRITA regions in EMEA, APAC, China and NOAM. The marketing planning of all SBSs as well as the brand relevant strategic initiatives from the Shaping Sustainable Solutions strategy converge in this department.

Brand Experience @BRITA develops the brand strategy for the BRITA Group and all associated brands, provides content, (technical) solutions, and media planning expertise, and provides practical day-to-day support to ensure global, regional, and local alignment. On an operational level, the brand experience and strategy team works closely with the strategic marketing of each SBS, regional marketing and local marketing teams in different countries.

In your role, you will build, strengthen and develop the existing team of approximately 15 people and act as a sparring partner for the SBS and Regional Marketing Heads. Through close coordination and collaboration, you will bring together the strengths of the experts, provide impulse from HQ, build small countries, create realistic expectations, and create liaison. You take on a leadership role vis-à-vis the countries, bundle knowledge, leverage efficiency potential and have a major influence on the development of the BRITA brand.


Your tasks in that role can be summarized as follows:

  • You will be responsible for brand positioning and protection as well as brand and communication strategy, tone of voice and corporate identity/design.
  • Together with your team and through strong stakeholder management, you will gather marketing planning input across all SBS and develop brand campaigns and campaign framework.
  • Your responsibilities will include conceptualizing and coordinating master motion graphics and photography production, as well as master content creation for websites and product PR, and media neutral content creation.
  • Another pillar of your role is the media planning process and the implementation of segmentation into media target groups.
  • As a third area of responsibility, you will manage the Brand Solutions team, which handles asset, prepress and translation management and provides the technical infrastructure.



You will be well-equipped for the role if you can demonstrate the following

  • Master's degree in business administration, media management, communications or equivalent qualification
  • Plus 10 years of professional experience in the environment of strategic marketing, brand marketing, sales and/or product management, gained at a brand manufacturer in the FMCG sector, ideally from a market and headquarters perspective
  • Passionate driver of brand development with an integrative nature, solid experience in international collaboration, brand management and communication development combined with good understanding of online marketing channels and tools
  • Confident, independent and solution-oriented individual who is goal-oriented and able to prioritize very well
  • Well-integrated team player who supports open and transparent communication without avoiding conflicts, knows how to lead heterogeneous teams and has good intercultural skills
  • Experience in leading a team as "primus inter paris", leveraging the team's competencies in a participative and inclusive way
  • Very good communication skills, excellent command of English, other European languages an advantage
