Application tips

The cover letter

In your cover letter, you should introduce yourself to us briefly and concisely. The cover letter should complement the resume and not repeat it. When writing, put yourself in the reader's shoes: would you use the cover letter to invite yourself to an interview?

Some questions you should address in your cover letter are the following:

  • Why are you interested in the position?
  • What qualifications do you have?
  • Why should we hire you?
  • Why exactly does this job posting appeal to you?
  • What do you expect from BRITA Vivreau?

The resume

The resume should tell us about your career to date. Here are a few tips for a good resume:

  • Build the resume in a tabular format
  • Start with the present and take us to the past
  • List a few meaningful bullet points for each stage: one or two pages are enough
  • Include a short explanation if you have any gaps in your resume
  • Use a common format and an easy-to-read font.

Pay attention to the format

If your cover letter has spelling mistakes or the documents are in the wrong order, it can quickly look unprofessional. Take your time and read through everything again. This can help you avoid mistakes.

To help you, we have summarized some common sources of error:

  • Spelling: Can I still find mistakes? If necessary, ask another person to look over the documents again.
  • Documents: Have all the required documents been attached in the correct format and in good quality?
  • Sequence: Have I put the documents in the right order?
  • Consistency: Did I use a consistent font and font size and line spacing?
